Going for an x-ray on Monday then she is setting me up for a CT. I am not letting it stop me from doing stuff. I have too much to get done around here. Thankfully, Frank is doing most of it at least till he starts work again at the ski hill.

I don't like having to take so many meds to just hover above the pain, but I must do what works.

Thanks for your kind words.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to learn a lot about ruptured disks. My mother had a bad fall and ruptured one. There are of course varying degrees of pain and disability. She ended up flat of her back for more than 4 months and had to resort to morphine for a while. The recommended surgery was a horror, they wanted to go in from the front....so yeah, she said forget it. Time does often improve the situation, along with some pain meds. The only thing that actually helped her, finally got her out of bed and on her feet again, was a drug called Neurontin, which is actually for seizures in young people evidently. But for some bizarre reason helps some with back pain. As she was already in her 60's, semi-retired, the fall changed her life forever, never worked again. But with the help of that medicine at least she had a life again. Every person and every ruptured disk is different, and I hope yours ends up easy to treat and fast to improve! Let me know what the doc says.

Have a great long weekend. As you know my lower back is giving me grief. Based on my self diagnosis done via the internet, I suspect it is a ruptured disk, Seeing my doc tomorrow. Not sure what he can do other than give me better pain meds and hopefully schedule me for some cortisone shots in the nerve that is causing me such back and leg agony. I am doing hot and cold compresses plus laying around on the floor doing gentle stretches. It sucks cuse I am babysitting the precious one on Saturday and going to a party on Sunday.

Good morning! Even though today is Wednesday, it's my Friday! I have the next 2 days off so maybe I can catch up on some blogging. Been really busy at work and I didn't even have time to peek in here. Have a beautiful day!
